The reason my cable is not working when I went home last night?

Let's see- big wide spaces for animals to come in- the cable runs under the floor. Great- a dog or something has rip it down.

Or so I thought.

Man came out today and I find out I have not been paying for my cable. I am stealing it you see. Why do they come up with this? Because I don't have a mailbox, but I have cable coming into my home.

O.O

All my mail comes to the office, but the location of the service is on the bill. They was unable to locate me- even tho I have numbers and sign on the home.

But no- I steal cable. Then tell me WHY I pay you $59.00 a month? Tell me why when I called yesterday and reported it they said nothing? Tell me WHAT YOU ARE DOING here if I am not a PAYING customer? Or does all cable theifs get this kind of service.

He went outside to call his office.

Comes back to tell me my bill is paid in full, up to date. And he has turned my cable back on. Then he left. No sorry or nothing.

This kind of crap is the reason we switched to Verizon FiOS as soon as it was available in our area.

Even though it's cheaper, I would have paid MORE to get away from the morons and shitty service of the cable company!

Cold Checks.

Last week I got a call from a customer who tells me her check that she wrote me was returned NSF. But that it was a bank error, and to just run it back thru and it would clear. I was not charged by my bank because I had enough to cover the amount.

Last Sunday I washed my jeans with a check in the pocket, coming out in pieces, but still readable.

The above lady calls us back for another day of work- unknown to me. My fault as I did not tell my sister of the cold check of last week and still not gotten it back from the bank.

So that is #3 checks I had problems with. I went to the bank yesterday. I asked the check that was cold to be ran back thru and learned they could not do that. “You will have to go to the bank the check is on and cash it.” --.-- Ok.

How about the washed check, my attempt to laundry money? “No. You have to take it to the bank it is on and see if they will cash it.” --.-- OK… and tell me- what the fuck do you do that you have the name of Bank?? Trying to not be pissy with them, I head out the door in the rain, cussing under my breath.

I walk next door to the other bank in this town. I start with the washed check. “I don’t know…but the head teller is not here right now.” Horse fly on a pile of poop can no one answer the damn question?? “Manager?” “Well…I guess I could ask..” “Just point her out- I will ask.” I did- they can cash the check as it was just washed out, but still can see the writing and the account number. Even the signature. But there is a problem. The check is cold. Well that just fucking figures. No wonder she will not return my calls for a new check.

I but it back in my bank bag and pull out the cold check. “This we can cash as the account has that amount. As its to a company it will have to be a certify check to the company its written to.” “As long as you don’t charge me for it- I don’t care.”

I pull out the other check and ask her to see if it was any good. “No. She doesn’t have enough to cover both checks.” Well fuck a duck and call it kinky…why is that not shocking me? “Cash that one as it’s the largest one.”

So I return to my bank. I stand there with a torn washed check that I could cash (at the other bank- not my bank) if the money was there.

I have one check I got the money for the NSF check…and the other one cold. As the woman pissed me off- she wrote me two checks she knew was cold. Screw that. I deposit the cold check also, telling the clerk I know its cold but I had enough money to cover it.

Why? The banks will charge her NSF fees. It will at least cost her $30.00 for it. And it will go on her credit history. People just don’t think…I swear… see the big picture ass holes. Credit is something you can’t get back very easy.

Anyway- hate people who write cold checks. Thank god my guys don’t have to wait to get paid. “Oh sorry guys but of the six moves you did last week three wrote us cold checks. So … you go out and collect the money and I will pay you for your work and a nice tip.” Joking but few more cold checks and it will effect the cash flow.

*sigh* I usually only get three or four cold checks a year. I have gotten that many in the last month. Grrrrr. I mean... I understand you get behind, or don't balance the books... Hell I have overdrawn several times. But the one who just wrote me cold checks and knew it pissed me off.
